Are You Ready To Lose Love Handles Fast?

You Are About To Learn The Secrets To Getting Rid Of Your Unsightly Love Handles And Replacing Them With Firm Toned Abs!

.

Hey There – John here,

If you’re looking for the best love handle workouts to tighten those abs and look good again (I’m talking wash-board abs), then I’m glad you’ve found this website and I strongly suggest you keep reading…Because this is my uncensored love handle elimination story…  The ups, the downs, what stuff didn’t work and finally, the one thing program that helped me …

Achieve My Goal of Eliminating My Love Handles – Permanently!

As I’ve noted on this blog, I’m no spring chicken any longer and over the years, my abs have gotten a bit flabby and my love handles seem to get larger with each passing year.

My core muscle mass has all but disappeared, my wind is gone and my back hurts all the time.  And I’ve got high cholesterol and I drive a desk at work all day long, so I really need to change some things in my life.

I’ve tried workouts for love handles at home and at the gym. I’ve used exercise balls, rubber band exercises and weight machines, along with various other things over the years to get me back in the shape I was in as a young man.  Heck I played soccer at a high level back in the day, along with many other sports – I was a ‘jock’.  Since then…

  • I’ve bought ALL the crap they pedal on late night TV, like the abs machine, a stair master, an elliptical machine, even the total gym and free weights.  They didn’t work for me and have either been discarded or are collecting dust, and yes – the love handles continued to grow.
  • I’ve tried different diets over the years too – yeah, low-fat, fat-free (no taste), good carb – bad carb, something called Atkins…they weren’t much fun, and even though I shed some poundage here and there, they really never gave me good looking abs – the love handles stayed in place.
  • I bought cross-country skis and in-line skates and tried workouts that way – the falls made both useless endeavors.
  • I put my bike on a stand in my basement to ride while I watch TV, but it makes so much noise that I rarely use it.
  • I even bought an I-pod and good running shoes…Yeah, you guessed it…
  • You know, looking back, I’ve spent a ton of money and wasted a boat load of time on workouts and exercise equipment that claim to be great total body and love handle exercises, but just didn’t work.

So, earlier in the year, I started researching and located several quality products.  The one I finally concluded on, was the Truth About Abs.  For me, it really works and it’s changing:

  • My entire way of looking at what I eat
  • How I grocery shop
  • My ab workouts and core strength training
  • My cardio workouts, everything –

… and my love handles are rapidly melting, almost like the butter I now put on my toast again. I even get reminder emails with tips and techniques to motivate me and help keep me focused – I don’t know about you, but for me, that’s a big plus.

“Finally I found a life-style program I can stick to!  It’s got teeth and a support system!”

Now, don’t get me wrong – it’s not perfect (but I guess I’m not either).  I mean, I don’t really like the idea of trying to cut out corn syrup from my diet and workouts are still required, after all. But seriously…

I can’t argue with the results and after all, I really just wanted to get into shape, lose love handles and not have a sore back anymore – Achieved!

  • I wanted to lose some weight and strengthen my core, which I’m steadily improving on, net of new muscle
  • My love handles are shrinking away with each passing day
  • I wanted to get a lot stronger, and I am – I can do 5x the push-ups I could when I started

Workouts For Love Handles At Home – Feel The Burn

December 17th, 2009 John Thomas No comments

If you’re a football fan, instead of a football player or if you are a couch potato instead of a couch mover, or if you are living proof of a particular law of physics – “A Body At Rest Tends To Stay At Rest”… chances are pretty good, that beer gut you’ve developed and those oh-so-flabby love handles you’re sporting are there to stay, unless you implement some emergency love handle workouts.

So – Are you going to do something about it?

Look, over time, your metabolism has slowed down and you right along with it.  And if you are like I was, then your food intake actually increased at times and the “quality of your food” didn’t improve.

So, what to do? What to do?  Exercise dude!  You need some serious core strengthening, specifically love handle workouts that will swing your body back into shape.  Not only that, you need upper body and total body cardio as well.

Sorry, you can’t rely on just workouts for love handles and belly fat, because our bodies don’t really work that way. You need to improve your diet and increase your overall muscle mass in order to burn calories and prevent them from turning into another tire.  Only then, will really burn love handles.

That said, in addition to getting some good cardio (like interval training) and some good weight lifting in, you can strengthen your core and get ripped-up six pack abs with some effort… ok some serious effort.

Now, some specific love handle workouts that will go straight to those abdominal muscles include some of my favorites – Focus on oblique’s.  When completely developed, this muscle group will be your six-pack abs.  Before you begin, check with your doctor.  Whenever you push the weight – exhale, and always focus on proper technique.

Love Handle Workouts - Ride the Bike

Love Handle Workouts - Ride the Bike

Ride the Bike. Lie on your back, with your hands along the side of your head. Raise your right knee and your left elbow, and touch at the halfway point – basically above your mid section.  Then return to a nearly flat position and do the same movement with the left knee and right elbow. Repeat this process as if pedaling a bike.  Do not strain your neck and don’t touch the floor.

Crunch the Ball. Ok, so get yourself an exercise ball – a big one.  With your back on the ball, perform crunches.  Again, do not strain your neck, and try not to fall off the ball.  In the beginning your twitcher muscles might not be able to keep you on the ball without a spotter.

V-Ups. My middle school gymnastics coach gets the nod for this terror of the torso.  Lay on your back, with hands extended along the floor so you are full length stretched out… feels good at this point.  Now, (and this will take a lot of practice before you are strong enough, and your twitcher muscles and balance are developed enough to do it) raise both hands and both legs simultaneously toward the ceiling and toward each other until they touch (keeping everything straight – you will form a V with your body) and then go back down to the ALMOST the original starting position – only come down to a few inches above the floor (hands, head and feet) and repeat.  Like I said, you will feel awkward, you will fall over, you’ll accidentally sit up, etc., until you develop some balance.  Hang in there – it’s worth it.

Love Handle Workouts - Vertical Leg Crunch

Love Handle Workouts - Vertical Leg Crunch

Vertical Leg Crunches. This is basically a crunch with your legs pointed toward the ceiling. These love handle workouts require you to raise your shoulder blades off the ground and repeat.  A variation of this is to place your legs onto ball, or onto a chair, etc.

A second variation, is to raise your hips off the floor slightly, return to the floor and repeat – while keeping your feet up in the air.

Core Strength – Love Handle Exercises Programs I’m Researching

October 16th, 2009 John Thomas No comments

Greetings Fellow-Flat-Belly-Seeker and Love Handle Workouts Enthusiast,

Well, it’s the middle of hunting season in my neck of the woods and I’ve been getting a lot of exercise, tromping through the heavy cover with my German Shorthair Pointer.  I’ve also been utilizing the exercises that I’ve posted on this site, for the best love handle workouts to lose belly fat and expose those abs and I’m trying to digest the information and implement the suggestions found in a few of the products I’m reviewing.

Specifically I’ve narrowed it down to a couple programs that seem pretty good and are very thorough.

  • The first one – Truth About Six Pack Abs – really goes in depth into nutrition, cardio conditioning and overall strength training, including love handle exercises and large muscle exercises.  So far, it looks pretty cool.
  • The second one – Fat Loss 4 Idiots – great name – really more of diet and eating lifestyle and appears to focus on calorie shifting, instead of the same non-sense the other diet programs focus on such as: counting calories, low-fat, no-fat, low-carb, high-protein, etc.
  • There are a couple others that look pretty good too.

One thing is certain – I need to emphasize core strength training, love handle exercises and well, exercises for every other part of my ol’ body too, so if I don’t do the work to get myself in shape – it will be my fault.

Anyway, I’ll put up a solid review here shortly so you can benefit and hopefully save yourself some time and jump start your own New Year’s Resolution.  My sister is working away at the Truth About Six Pack Abs course.  I’ll probably put her thoughts in here as well –I know she’s already shed about six pounds.

Now, where did I put that dog’s leash – she’s so fast!

UPDATE: You can find out more about the Truth About Six Pack Abs, by reading my post in this blog – click here.  I think you’ll be pleased to find that while love handle workouts do have an impact at shaping you up and strengthening your core – there’s a whole lot more to it.

Gut Busting Workouts For Love Handles – TV Watchers

October 12th, 2009 John Thomas No comments

Some of my favorite love handle workouts are PLANKS – we also call them TV watchers at home since we do them at commercials all the time.  And the best part – no exercise equipment – no treadmill, no workout ball – just a great home workout.

Stomach. To start this stomach workout, lay face-down on your stomach.  With your feet together, push up onto your forearms/elbows.  It’s like a regular push-up but on your elbows.  Hold your entire body very rigid.

Can you hold it for the entire commercial?  We like to have contests with each other.  This is terrific core exercise and will strengthen your back and your oblique’s (love handles).

Love Handle Workout - Side Plank Extended

Love Handle Workout - Side Plank Extended

Side. With the side plank ab workout, there are several variations, but the basics are enough to get you started and will definitely help you in your quest to reduce love handles.

Laying on your right side, lift up onto your right forearm/elbow and place your left arm down the side of your body (as it would be if you were standing).  Then, lift your torso off the floor so that you are forming a straight line with your body – feet to head.  Only your forearm and side of your feet should be touching the floor.  Be very straight and hold.  Switch and do the other side.

Once your balance is good and core strength has improved, you can add some variations to your workout. Try holding your top arm upright, overhead or straight out while doing the same thing with your top leg.

Full Arm Extensions. Raise yourself off the floor to a fully extended push-up position.  Beginning with your right hand, raise it quickly above your head.  Return it to the floor.  Then raise the left hand above your head and return it to the floor.  Repeat.  Hold your body as steady as possible.  You may find spreading your legs a bit will help with your balance in the beginning.

Criss-Cross. Once you’ve got the basic planks working well  and you want to step it up a notch.

Hold yourself in a full push-up position and rapidly force your right knee forward and then toward your left elbow, and return to the floor.

Then, perform the same with your left knee.  Repeat this alternating move rapidly and get a good cardio workout too. Keep pumping them!

As with all exercises, especially love handle excercises, it is critical that you always maintain proper workout technique. You must hold your core (back, oblique’s, upper and  lower abs, back, neck and head) steady and strong.  If your torso is allowed to swing around in the air, you will not help yourself and you could actually injure yourself.

There are no love handle workouts or any other form of exercise on earth worth doing if your technique is bad.  Always focus on good technique with fewer reps or shorter time, vs. sacrificing quality workout technique for more reps/weight/time.

Everybody Claims You Can Lose Your Love Handles!

September 25th, 2009 John Thomas No comments

Hey it’s John,

After a bit of research, I’ve identified a handful of seemingly quality products and programs claiming they have love handle workouts and that they can strengthen my mid-section with core exercises, and if you believe the hype, I can become SUPERMAN

Most seem to include a bunch of nutritional information, work out regimens and the like.  All of them claim to be the “holy grail” when it comes to making me the lean, mean, fighting machine, my wife wishes I was.   Who knows, maybe by Valentine’s Day, I’ll be done losing love handles, the beer gut will be history and I’ll be on my way to rock hard six-pack abs.

Anyway, I’m going to buzz through them over the next several weeks and let you know what I think about them.  I think I’ll share them with my sister too and get her take… I could probably handle a fitness ball, but I sure hope I don’t have to do pilates workouts.  Is there even such a thing as good love handle workouts?

Love Handle Workouts – I Need To Lose Love Handles Fast!

September 12th, 2009 John Thomas No comments

Hey there,

I don’t know if you are like me – early forty’s, with a wife and two kids – yeah, my son think he can take me – but if you are, you’re probably not in the shape you think you should be.  I know I’m not – I need some love handle workouts, or something to get back to where I used to be.

As a desk jockey by day and master of the remote by night, about the only real exercise I get outside of hunting season is chasing the kids around the soccer field (yup – I’m the coach) and tossing dummies to the dog (now there’s a good workout – for the dog).

My gut is busting out a bit more each year and my back hurts all the time – too many car accidents and not enough core strength training… and maybe a few too many carbs.

Anyway, in anticipation of “New Year’s Resolution Time”, I decided to “tone up a bit” and so I got a physical, I started doing push-ups and I’m exploring different exercise products on the market to help me strengthen my back, tighten my gut, maybe find some love handle workouts and basically “cow-boy up” a bit.

Have a good one – I need to take the dog for a walk now – I’m in training you know.
